Breathtaking sights await on this beautiful ride along the Klondike Highway to and from Skagway. Gorgeous waterfalls, rivers, mountains, glaciers, and more sights await.

Lake Bennett Scenic Journey Train Ride in Skagway, Alaska

Travel along the same route that the Klondike stampeders traversed in 1898 from Skagway to Yukon Territory by train, followed by a scenic ride along the Klondike Highway to Skagway. This Skagway excursion is a great option to combine the best of your Canadian and Alaskan getaway.

Along the Skagway journey, you will enjoy a 45-minute visit at Lake Bennett. This area is special and unique in that it can only be reached via the White Pass Train or by directly hiking the famous Chilkoot Trail. Once there, enjoy a self-guided walking tour of the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site and the 1910 Bennett Station historical museum in Bennett.

A hearty turkey sandwich boxed lunch with chips, a side, and dessert is provided along the train portion of your journey between Bennett and Carcross. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon request at the time of booking this scenic Skagway tour. You'll spend about 4 hours and 15 minutes on the train, enjoying the picturesque Alaskan scenery as you travel through this beautiful part of the world.

Carcross is located at the foot of Lake Bennett. Once at Carcross, passengers are transferred to a comfortable tour vehicle for a visit to Emerald Lake, the most photographed lake in the Yukon Territory. The approximately 2 and a half hour trip back to Skagway by bus will include various stops which will provide many photo opportunities of the breathtaking beauty of waterfalls, rivers, majestic mountains, vast glaciers, historic sites, and panoramic landscapes. This tour in Skagway is also operated in reverse order with a "bus first" departure on certain days of the week. Book this tour and escape into the heart of history!

Please Note: All guests are required to have a valid passport in their possession in order to take this tour.
